Hey y’all!
I wanted to take a moment to share with you a few things that I am loving this week.
First of all, if you haven’t tried Walmart’s new free grocery pick-up I highly recommend it! I love to cook, but I am not a fan of grocery shopping. Going to Walmart (or anywhere really) for groceries always seems like such a chore! I always seem to go when I’m hungry, or unprepared and end up buying way too much. Not to mention, I can’t go to Walmart without a detour through the Pioneer Woman collection! But I’ve always thought that Walmart is a necessary evil. Not anymore! They have officially won me over. With their new grocery pick up service, you can fill your grocery cart, coffee in hand from the comfort of your home, in your pajama’s (without ending up being laughed at as a typical Walmartian)! You select your pick up time. You drive to your chosen Walmart, and thanks to the user-friendly app, they know when you get there. Then, they BRING the groceries to your car and LOAD the groceries into your trunk!!! AMAZING! You can check it out here for yourself!
Next, my hubby and I have been busy the last few weeks preparing for our new business venture! Sam is incredibly talented and can make almost any vision that I have a reality. So we decided to take a baby step and a leap of faith to market those talents and started a Cynefin Farm booth at a local Antique/Flea Market. If you are ever in the Springfield, MO area, stop by Relics Antique Mall and look for our booth!
Along with the previous, I am LOVING Missouri Red Cedar! It has become a staple in our woodworking projects. I love the way is smells when Sam is cutting it. I love the figure of the wood. I know that may not be the most everyone’s cup of tea, and honestly I didn’t think it would be mine either. Previously, when I would think about cedar, I would think about hope chests and closets. It’s abundant, affordable, easy to work with, and super cute!
If you have any interest in gods, think Odin and Ostara, Jesus, religion, leprechauns, symbolism, cinematography, or just television period, you have to check out American Gods on Starz. Based on the novel by Neil Gaiman, this series is addictive and amazing! The first season just wrapped up this week. Thankfully it has been picked up for a second season. In my opinion, there isn’t a series on television right now that compares to American Gods.
Last but certainly not least, Jaxon has arrived for his six week visit from Pennsylvania! So this Mama’s heart is full and happy! We picked him up from the Kansas City airport on Tuesday, ate some KC Barbecue and of course, hit the IKEA! Our days have been full of hanging out and catching up on quality time!
