Adventures, Life

Ch-Ch-Changes

The Hubs and I have just moved…again.  If you have been following along, you might recall that in July of last year, we moved from Central Pennsylvania to SouthWest Missouri. Due to my husbands employment, we have now relocated to SouthWest Michigan. Perhaps we are becoming old pros at moving, or perhaps we are ready to settle down and plant some roots.

You might recall that we were planning to start a homestead in the middle of the Ozark Mountains. I’m not ashamed to admit it, that location just wasn’t for me! I’m not afraid of hard work, getting my hands dirty or living simply. I am afraid of snakes (like all of them) and poisonous spiders (if you can imagine it, it lived there). I’m not a huge fan of temperatures over 100 degrees. I’m not a fan of 90 degree temperatures in October. I’m also not a huge fan of being covered in ticks after being outside for five minutes. I’m even less a fan of pulling ticks out of my body, like ever! So, while we haven’t given up on the notion of living simply and being more self-sufficient, we have been taking a long, hard look at what that might actually look like for us. And that’s okay!

So, here we are in SouthWest Michigan. Living in the sweetest little town on the lakeshore of the “Great Lake” Michigan. This place is gorgeous. From the colors on the trees to the crashing waves of the lake. The people are sweet and kind. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in our lives. I’m honestly not sure what’s in store for us next, which is super exciting. Who knows, maybe, just maybe we might decide to stay a while and plant some roots.

Thank you for sticking around, and stay tuned for some exciting things to come in 2018!
