February In Review

I can’t really figure out why January feels like the longest month ever, but February makes up for it because I swear I blinked and it was over! Here’s quick rundown of all of my favorite things about the month!

I love sunshiney days in the depths of winter, and living near Lake Michigan (the most beautiful place I’ve ever lived) makes the sunshine even more glorious! I think I might be in love with the lake! (Shhh…don’t tell my husband!!) I mean just look at how gorgeous the views are!! And while it may be back to normal permagray today, the last few days were gorgeous here in Southwest Michigan, and we soaked up as much of that sunshine as possible!

I LOVE being a housewife and cooking! I wrote once about being uncomfortable in my kitchen (you can read about that here) and how I was always anxious about a meal coming together perfectly.  I have even come to a point where I don’t always need a recipe, or I can take a recipe and adapt as my own. It feels great! In February I posted a recipe for the most amazing meatballs! (You can check that recipe out here)

I talked about love a bit last month as well. You can read those posts here and here. I’m certainly not an expert on love or marriage, but I’ve been through a few failed relationships and find myself in a season of wedded bliss and happiness! My marriage isn’t perfect. We have issues. I’m sure there are times that we don’t like each other, but our love is warm and lasting. Sometimes we are a heap of mush and sappy love. Sometimes I’m passive aggressive and sometimes he’s unkind, but we always love each other.

You are my happy

It was a quick month filled with food and love, and a little bit of sunshine! I’m looking forward to seeing what the month of March has in store for us! I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one!

Until Next Time: Peace, Love & Adventures
